Linda Kathryn Martin, age 77, of Ashley, Ohio was called home to the Lord Sunday morning, November 16, 2025, at her home with her loving husband at her side.
Linda was born on November 28, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Merle Wright and Betty Jo Wright (Shinkle).
Linda graduated from West High School in Wichita, Kansas in 1965. She later married the love of her life Leroy Martin on July 16, 1972, and the two went on to enjoy more than 53 years of marriage together.
Linda was a person who was always about her family and her faith. Her family cherishes the memories of so many home-cooked meals, stating that mom could make just about anything. Every holiday had some sort of baked goods, especially Christmas, which was always accompanied by many Christmas cookies and candies. Her children enjoyed homemade cakes ((with love)) for every birthday.
Linda was so proud of her family, her husband, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She would do anything for her family as well, even sacrificing her own well-being. When both her mother and sister were unwell prior to their passing, Linda stayed with them for 4 years to make sure that they both received the care and comfort that they deserved.
Linda was also a fun person who loved to laugh and have a good time. Linda loved to be a part of everything.
A proud Christian, Linda was a member of Stantontown Advent Christian Church and served as youth group leader for the church for many years.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed baking, shopping, and crafting of all sorts. Within her crafting repertoire, she would scrapbook, make jewelry, as well as make ceramics.
Linda was a selfless, loving, caring, and good-natured person who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, Linda is also preceded in death by her dear sister Vicki Greenlee.
Linda Kathryn Martin is survived by her husband Leroy Martin; children Dawn Dater, Todd Martin, Kevin Martin, Wesley Martin (Sandra), and Kayla Martin; brother Michael Wright (Karen); 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at Stantontown Advent Christian Church from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on November 21, 2025. A funeral service will follow at Stantontown Advent Christian Church at 1:00 p.m. on November 21, 2025. Following the funeral service, Linda will be laid to rest at Ashley Union Cemetery.
