Ralph Douglas Moore, II passed away unexpectedly at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the age of 54. He was born to Ralph Douglas Moore, Sr. and Selina Chatagnier Mitchel in Crowley, Louisiana on October 5, 1970.
He was a multi-skilled craftsman and a master electrician by trade. He was the owner of his own electrical business and retired after 25 years in the field. Ralph enjoyed all sports, especially football and basketball. He spent his spare time fishing, hunting, tinkering on projects around the house, and working on engines and cars when he could.
Above all, he was a loving family man. The times spent with his family were Ralph’s most treasured moments and his granddaughter was his pride and joy.
Ralph was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, E.L. Moore and Gloria Moore; maternal grandparents, Floyd Chatagnier, Sr. and Annebelle Chatagnier; stepfather, Wade Mitchell; aunt, Floydean Haney; and cousins, Mona Higginbotham and Josh Higginbotham. Ralph was an animal lover at heart and is reunited with cherished animal companions, Dutchesses the Lab, Sassy the Cat, and Buster the Cat.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Christine “Christy” Moore; mother, Selina Mitchell; daughter, Kylie Moore (Lucas Rogers); son, Austine Moore (Sheyenne Connell); granddaughter, Remi Rogers, sisters, Tammy Keating (Mark) and Sky Mitchell; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Ralph is also survived by his well-loved feline friends, Bella, Minnie, and Kiki.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Lucas Rogers and the dedicated first responders of St. George for their help in our time of need.
