Daniel John Daigle, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong animal lover, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, at 10:58 a.m., surrounded by his loving family. He was 72 years old. A native of White Castle and a longtime resident of St George, Danny was a man of deep compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those closest to him—especially his beloved wife, Hu Qin Lian, “LaLa.”
Danny dedicated his life to family, animals, and the simple joys that come from meaningful connections. He was the proud father of six children: Tory Daigle and his wife Ashley, along with their children Austin and Joslynn; Kristin Daigle and her daughter Adalyn; Kiera Conzonire and her husband Nick, and their children Cruz and Quinn; Daniel Daigle II; Binbin Hu and her husband Ran Wang and granddaughter Aurelia; and Heather Daigle whom he cherished deeply.
Those who knew Danny knew he developed a lifelong love and understanding of animals. That bond ignited a passion that lasted throughout his life and ultimately inspired him and Hu Qin to build a home in Addis, Louisiana, where they raised Siberian cats and helped families across the country find their perfect furry companions. He believed that responsible pet ownership was a pathway to building a more compassionate world.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Danny will remember his wisdom, his humility, his humor, and the way he lit up when surrounded by his grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy in Baton Rouge, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Danny’s legacy lives on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and all those he touched with his gentle spirit and love for life. His was a life well-lived—and deeply loved.
Rest well, Danny. Your family, your LaLa, and all those who were lucky to know you will carry your light forward.
