LOVERING, 65
WEEKI WACHEE - Robert C. 'Butch' Lovering, 65, of Weeki Wachee and Lakeland, FL, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014, after a long illness.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia 'Gail' Lovering and beloved daughters Kimberly Lovering of New York and Jennifer Lynn Lovering of Lakeland, FL. Beloved son-in-law of Marjorie Plemons. Loving grandfather of Paul-Anthony Schifilliti and Rachel Elizabeth, Hunter James and Kyle Chase Vitito. Devoted brother of C. Jo Williams. Uncle to Curtis Williams and Caren Rodrigues and devoted friend to Steve and Kathy Hamer. Loving father-in-law to David Vitito.
Butch was a former Polk County Deputy Sheriff prior to leaving there and driving for Publix Food Stores for 36 years before retiring. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid boater and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

My tears are filled with sorrow, but so much more are filled with happy memories, lots of talks, stories and laughter. Bob your kind heart and sharp, witty tongue will be truly missed. My dear friend I miss you and the special relationship we shared but I know you are totally free of pain. You are so loved and have left such a void in our lives.

Bob I recall growing up just down the street form you and your sister. I could never forget our many hours spent together working the midnight shift for the sheriff's office. May God bless your family.

Butch, you are gone but not forgotten. Wish there were more memories but will never forget my & Uncle Gerald's visit at the river on our trip to Cedar Key and our family get together at Christmastime last year. We will remember you as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
