Mr. Ronnie Reynolds “Paw Paw” Dalton, 69 of Mount Airy, passed away at his home on Tuesday morning August 19, 2025. He was born in Grayson County, VA, on February 16, 1956, to the late McKinley Reynolds Dalton and Daisey Bell Tolley Dalton. He retired from Ararat Rock (LuckStone) after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a very loving and hardworking man who loved collecting coins, model cars, and flashlights. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 35 years, Harriet Selma Schmidt Dalton of the home, two sons, Joseph Dalton and Adam Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Lambert and Josh; grandchildren, Blanca Escutia, Alexander Escutia, Vivienne Dalton, and Hunter Dalton; sister, Freda Rakes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dean and Shelby Dalton, Jerry and Imogene Dalton, and Ricky Dalton; special friends, Bri Dalton, The Crossingham Family, Steve Hall, and the LuckStone family; and by several other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by a daughter, Hannah Bell Dalton; two sisters, Mable Lee Dalton Tate and Ruth Ellen Dalton; and by three brothers, Harold Monroe Dalton, Jimmy Lee Dalton, and Earl Dalton. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 25, 2025, at 11:00am in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Woodlawn United Methodist Church Cemetery in Woodlawn, VA. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:30-11:00am at Moody’s. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Dalton family.
