David Mark Rasmussen

Marshalltown - David Mark Rasmussen, died October 10, 2018, while battling many illnesses.

Born January 28, 1953 in Marshalltown, Iowa. He grew up in Marshalltown and lived most of his life in and around Marshalltown and Iowa City, Iowa. He enjoyed listening, seeing and making music throughout his life. His children fondly remember his love of gardening, cooking and eating meals from his garden. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and playing Frisbee with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his sister, Lola Chalfant; brother Alan Rasmussen and his wife Marlene; daughters, Tabitha Rasmussen, Karissa Bartee and husband Bret, Christiana Rasmussen and husband Casey King, Shoshanna Rasmussen, and Ariana Rasmussen; grandchildren, Cassie, Leah, Bella, Brodi, Micaela, Lucas, Ethan, Oliver and Max and two twin grandsons on the way.

The memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 17th at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Please join the family for a reception following the graveside service at Best Western Regency in Marshalltown.

David was my best friend from fourth grade until graduation from high school he was a talented drummer and performed at Miller Middle School´s auditorium
