I am ever grateful for Ed's hand at the helm of Four Rivers Charter School where my son was in the inaugural seventh grade class in 2003, and graduated with honors in 2009. Always kind and interested, Ed was a steady force for good, and his presence will be missed. My deep condolences to Claire & and all family and friends. Sincerely, and with love,

Mr. Blatchford was my advisor at Waldorf School from 1972 to 1975. 45 years later, he remains one of a kind life encounter--an unmaterialistic, centered, kindly, widely gifted individual. Even as a teen I figured he was somehow different. He always had that discerning look. I regarded him, even then, as a reincarnation of Hawthorne or Melville walking the corridors.

So many of us have benefitted from Four Rivers Charter School. I will always feel gratitude for Ed's vision and hard work in establishing this excellent school. He was a good, kind, and reflective man who I admired. My condolences to Claire and his family.

Mr. Blatchford was such an amazing man. I was one of his first students are Four Rivers Charter School when it was founded. He always had a kind heart and was a very understanding man. It is an absolute tragedy for the world to lose such an amazing man. You will be dearly missed. I am glad i got to see you a few years ago. Rest In Peace Sir.

My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and daughters at this time. He was a true gentleman and a scholar.
