Please free to contact me about Bob’s early life in Atlanta in the 1950’s. We had fun together, especially learning to fly!

Bob Mohan, John Dayl, Earl Baldwin, Barry Young and others were the reason I became interested in talk radio in Phoenix in the late '80's. I was a teenager driving a beat up van for work, and thankfully it only had an AM radio, for that is how I first heard Bob's show. KFYI was new to the scene, but he had me the first time I heard "Blow Out The Phones", a segment I rarely missed. I've often wished to hear him as a guest host fill-in for someone on vacation. Reading these tributes, he seems like he was truly as good a man as I imagined him to be. God be with you, Bob, 'til we meet again on celestial airwaves someday.

Husband Steve and I always enjoyed listening to Bob on KFYI. His segment, "Blow Out The Phones" was especially a treat. He was the real deal. We also had the honor of meeting him at a charity event. RIP, Mr. Mohan.

Bob and Lynda Mohan were dear friends in Atlanta way back in the 60's. How well I remember getting together on the weekend bringing our two children at the time who would sleep while we played cards, ate good food, listened to music, talked about everything and most of all laughed.

After their move to Arizona our relationship dwindled to occasional Christmas cards and a sudden out of the blue phone call from Bob after we moved to Texas in 1995.

About Bob I would say that he was always interested and interesting. He had many areas of expertise. Being a good friend was one of them.

Bob Mohan, my brother-in-law, a true joy to me and my family. When I think of Bob, I smile, because of his quick and clever wit which he shared so easily with me and others. I was a big fan of Bob's radio program in Atlanta; not just because we were related, but because I appreciated how respectful he was to all of his listeners who called on the air to talk with Bob or express their opinion. Bob didn't always agree with his listener's comments, but he treated them with dignity. For indeed, there are many radio hosts who deliberately try to make themselves looks good while making their listeners seem ignorant.
Bob possessed a broad range of knowledge on any subject. Thus, conversations on air or in person were intelligent and informative.
As a man, Bob had a kind, compassionate, thoughtful heart. He cared about people. He cared about our country and our freedom.
He loved and was devoted to my sister, Lynda and their daughters Molly, Erin and their families and their dogs.
Bob was a man with high standards, strong character, integrity and a wonderful sense of humor.
Bob will be missed by me and so many others. We are blessed by his presence in our lives.
Love and hugs to the family.

I've just heard about the passing of this extraordinary man, radio personality, and friend to so many people, fans and colleagues, as Phoenix Talk Radio grew not in small part due to Bob. He was a loyal friend who was a helpful mentor to those of us who hoped to have life-long careers in Broadcasting. A rabid defender of his beliefs, Bob Mohan is one of a select few talents who created the kind of talk radio millions are now listening to in order to find the right words to defend their own points of view. God bless, Mohan family. Thank you for sharing Bob and your doggie family with us all. I pray for peace and serenity for you all.

I had the distinct honor to work with Bob at KFYI in 1992, not so directly, but still we passed in the halls, and even as a co-worker... I was a fan.

I loved his show, his humor, and the few personal conversations we had were compelling and sincere. I got a couple key pieces of career advice from Bob, and still today they keep me working in some capacity.

I recently thought of Bob, and wondered what radio was like without him. I guess now I know. He will be missed as he shared his life for many years with the people of Phoenix, and his co-workers. God Speed Bob... You were one of the best ever.

I used to listen to Bob regularly when he had his talk show on KFYI here in Phoenix. He had an excellent show, and I always enjoyed listening to him. God speed to Bob.
