Robert Stack Obituary
Robert Lee Stack Sr. 62, of Phoenix passed away on November 11, 2011. He was born on August 16, 1949 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to Charles and Joyce (Thomas) Stack. As a boy he was involved in boy scouts and marching band and graduated from Bangor Area High School in 1967. He married Darlene and had 2 sons Robert Jr. and Dean. They divorced in 1971 and Robert moved to Los Angeles, CA to continue a long career with United Airlines. There he met the love of his life Stephanie. They moved to Arizona after more than 20 years in California and Robert retired from United Airlines in 2004. He and Stephanie loved to travel and London was his favorite destination. He loved sports. Bob enjoyed playing golf and was a huge baseball and football fan. We could go on and on about the things Bob enjoyed in this life but what his family would want everyone to know is what kind of a man he was. Bob loved his family. He never referred to his father and brothers as "step". They were his family period. He was taken from us too soon but he will never be forgotten. He is survived by his life partner of over 30 years Stephanie Johnson, sons; Robert L. Stack Jr (Rachel)of Frankfort, DE and Dean C. Stack and fiancee Andrea Mesarak of Bethlehem, PA brothers; Leonard (Betty) Commareri of Pen Argyl, PA and Ronald (Marie) Commareri of Bangor, PA parents Joyce and Lawrence Commareri and grandchildren; Emilie, Lauren, Craig and Kevin. Memorial services will be held in December at Bushkill United Methodist Church in Wind Gap, PA and in Scottsdale, Arizona in January 2012. Bobby, Our Son,
It's been two years since we said "goodbye" to you and we miss you so very very much. Not a day goes by that we don't think about you. The good news is that both Emilie and Lauren are going to have a baby boy. Just think about being a great grandfather and Dad and I are going to be great great grandparents. Dad is feeling pretty good these days and then of course there are smoe bad days. You are in our hearts forever and words can't say how much we miss you. We will always love you more than all the stars in the sky.

Dear Bob,
It has been almost two years (on November 11) when God brought you to Heaven to be with him. You are in our prayers every day, and you are missed so much by many of us. I know how much Dean loves and misses you. He will always miss and treasure the time he had with you. I did not have as much time with you, but please know how much I fully enjoyed and treasure that time we spent, Dean, you and me, in Arizona. You are such a gentle and kind man, and I got to see from whom Dean inherited those traits. As Thanksgiving approaches, I am so thankful I was able to meet you and will always be proud to have known you. You will never be forgotten, and you will always be missed. Happy 64th birthday to our son Bobby. It has been 2 years that you missed your birthday with us. We miss loving you and hugging you on your special day. But you will always be in our hearts. Emilie got married on July 14 and she says she is so happy. And Chris ia a very nice young man. I think you would like him. She is now Emilie Cahill. They have rented a house in Bth. We will never stop loving you and missing you.

I remember a time, as a little girl, my mother (Joyce Price) brought me to your home to visit "the baby". I thought it was the neatest thing that I was allowed to push him in his carriage.

My favorite memory of Bob was when we were working at LAX and we had just entered the plane to hand the flight attendant the paperwork and make our final announcement. A somewhat nervous looking FA told us there was a seat dupe and pointed to a man standing in the aisle. Near him was an open middle seat and without missing a beat Bob pointed to the seat and said 'There's a seat, sit it in!" which the stunned man immediately did. As we walked back to the podium after pulling the jetway Bob smiled at me and said 'That's how you handle a seat dupe!" That's how I remember Bob. Direct, with a sense of humor.

It was a pleasure knowing Bob as he had many different outlooks on life and gave his own opinion on issues. He brought so much to the table. I enjoyed this about Bob as he was easy to get to know and talk to as well as liked by so many. He always brightened my day at UAL, he was a great guy.
