Robert Wright Obituary

Robert Lynn Wright, 64, of Fair Play, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Center Point Hospital in Independence, surrounded by loved ones.

Robert was born Aug. 31, 1961, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, to Robert Lewis Wright and Retha Arlene (Landreth) Wright. He was a 1979 graduate of Fair Play High School and a 1981 graduate of SFCC in Sedalia.

On June 27, 1981, he was united in marriage to Patricia E Friedly in Bolivar. This union was blessed with two daughters and a son.
?
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Retha Wright; grandchildren, Bentley Lewis and Jocelyn VanGordon. Survivors include his wife Patricia; children, Kristin (Chris) Moore, Springfield, Karla (Josh) Lewis of Fair Play, David (Kristen) Wright of Ozark; grandchildren, Cale Moore, Cierra Lewis, Isaac VanGordon, Aiden Lewis, Jacob Corley, Kolten Lewis, and Emma Lewis; brother Brent (Tammy) Wright; nephews, Kendal (Samantha) Wright, and Landon Wright; great-nephew Colter Wright, and great-niece Audrey Wright.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at First Baptist Church of Fair Play, in Fair Play, with Pastor David Stunkel officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Fair Play, 500 N Walnut, Fair Play, MO 65649, or the American Diabetes Association.
