Wayne Gadow Obituary

On December 13, 2021, Wayne Gadow passed away and went to be with the Lord at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, after a brief illness. Born September 23, 1947 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Raymond Gadow and Daisy Ann Gadow, nee Winkler; beloved husband to his wife Linda Miller Gadow, of 52 years; devoted father to his daughters, Jennifer Steen and her husband John, and Adrienne Korman and her husband Richard; cherished grandfather to Sarah Alexander, Mary Alexander Clatterbuck and her husband JD, Rachel Steen, Calleigh Rayne Korman, and Sienna Jane Korman. Wayne was a graduate of Baltimore City College in 1965 and enlisted in the US Navy from 1966-1970. He was stationed in Guam and Da Nang Vietnam. Wayne and his wife Linda owned and operated Universal Souvenir Company from 1970-2001 located in the old Pleasant Valley fire house. In addition to being an entrepreneur, Wayne and Linda were Chaplains for the Westminster City Police Department from 2010 to the present day. He was involved with the Walk to Emmaus, 7 Mile Walk with Jesus, and many other parachurch activities. Wayne knew no stranger; he was a friend to all who knew him and shared the good news of the Lord to all. A Celebration of his Life and Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10th, 2022 at the Crossroads Church, 895 Leidy Road, Westminster (21157) with the Reverend Jono Contestabile officiating. Wayne was a man that put God first in his life. It was evident in his words, actions, and family. Myself and my family were honored to know him for almost 40 years. Wayne, your legacy will continue to live on and grow because of the life you lived.

"Wayne knew no stranger; he was a friend to all who knew him and shared the good news of the Lord to all." No truer words were ever written.

Wayne was a friend and mentor to me. He would call to encourage me and to pray for me.

I am blessed to have called him my friend.

I miss you my dear brother.
