Evansville, Indiana

Jack W. Mills, "Ole Jack" 76, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Park Terrace Nursing Home.

Jack was born July 12, 1941 in Evansville to the late Henry D. Mills and Margaret M. (Krueger) Montgomery. He was employed as a service technician at Sears Roebuck and Company for 36 years and at Stephans, Inc. for 11 years. After retirement he was well known for repairing lawn mowers.

He was a 1959 graduate of Reitz High School, life member of Southern Indiana Antique Machinery Club, American Motorcycle Association and the West Side Nut Club. He also belonged to several car clubs.

Surviving Jack are his daughter, Jennifer Greenwood (Albert Durchholz) of Newburgh, IN and two sons, Jim Mills and Jeff Mills, both of Evansville. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Reed Greenwood (Libby Daugherty) and Hardin James Mills: one great grandchild, Lily Greenwood and the mother of his children, Nancy J. Mills.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Animal Rescue Center, 526 Atkinson Street, Henderson, KY 42420.

We were good friends and we socialized a lot with Jack and his 1st wife Nancy and their kids Jeff, Jenny, and Jim. We had some great times. We want to give our deepest condolences to them all. Thinking about you all
