Services for Rodney Lee Patch, 76, who passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 18 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Cremation will follow services.
Rodney was born in Milo, IA on May 30, 1933 to Donald and Lulu Patch. He married Carolyn Hill on October 7, 1956. Following high school he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict in Germany. He then began his career as a surveyor for Warren County for 40 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, American Legion Post # 165 and the Warren County Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn; daughters, Diane (Kirk) Thelin, Donna (Luis) Guzman, Denise Curtis and Debbie (Brent) Edgington; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Martin (Virginia), Kenneth and David (Marge) Patch; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, February 18 prior to services at Overton Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to his church or the American Legion Post. Online condolences may be made to www.overtonfunerals. com.
