I had the pleasure of working with James at Oncor. He was a very smart man and knew his work and I enjoyed knowing and working with him. When I left the company I lost touch and just found out today he had passed. The world is a little less brighter now that he is gone. He was a good man.

I worked with James in TU Network Engineering. He was a nice guy with a very creative mind. I am sorry to hear of his death.

As I am close with Courtney your step daughter all I heard about you, James is that you were a great man not only to your wife Linda, but also to your children and grand children. God blessed you with a strong step daughter whom is by your wife's side as they mourn for your loss. I pray that God uses you in heaven for beautiful things in their lives. Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with James off and on for years...first in the dp &l building in Dallas then Oncor Electric delivery in Ft Worth until I retired in 2012. He was a very easy person to talk to. He was the one that got me really interested in birds. He loved his famity more than anything and talked about yall all the time. My prayers are with u all.

Prayers and thoughts for all of James family. Linda, we never knew each other, but I am sorry for you. James and Steve and all the Cheever family lived on me and sisters street growing up for years! I am so sorry for your loss.
Whenever I think of him it's not as 'James', it's as 'James Cheever'. I don't remember why....it just is.
We worked together at TU in 1996 on the DIS Integration project. I remember him as an open book. He shared alot and laughed alot too.
It is with regret I am unable to be at James' memorial service.
