Daniel Denney Obituary

Denney Daniel E. Denney Jr., age 61, of Hilliard, passed away March 29, 2015. Graduate of Hilliard High School Class of 1972. Loyal Order of Moose, Hilliard; where he achieved the highest degree of the order, the Pilgrim degree of merit and was very involved with the Hilliard community. Preceded in death by father Daniel E. Denney Sr. Survived by mother, Norma; loving wife of 15 years, Vanessa; children, Daniel (Danielle) Denney III, Aaron (Shelley) Denney, Christin (Chris) Grubaugh, Angel (Daniel) Dimcneal and Brian Denney; siblings, Sue (Tom) Erb, Karen (Wayne) Suber and David (Faith) Denney; 13 grandchildren; nephews and nieces, Tom (Melissa) Erb Jr., Mike Erb, Jennifer Suber, Megan Suber and Sean Denney; along with numerous relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. A pilgrim service will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mooseheart Organization, 155 S International Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539. R.I.P. Papaw Dan... I was around 2 and 1/2 when you came into my life and accepted me as your own. I spent lots of days with you thank you for being there for me... It was great seeing you years later when I worked at Arbys and you came in for a meal. You will be missed.

I met Dan when I joined the Moose in 2000. I had a lot of good times over the years with Dan and his great family. Dan was a good man, a good Moose and a good friend, though he was not a good man to try to lift.

I'll miss you, Dan. I even had a great business idea for us and you never got to hear it. Guess you're off the hook on that one! See you on the other side, my friend.

I have known Dan since I was a kid. Dan actually coached me in baseball. I recently reconnected with Dan when my family joined the moose. You will be missed ,you were a good man. God bless.
