1919 - 2017
Frankie L. McGee began her journey on November 1, 1919, which peacefully ended on November 16, 2017. A native of Augusta, GA, she was the 7th of nine siblings born to George Henry and Mary Green. A longtime resident of Columbus, OH, and a dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she faithfully served on the ladies usher board. A great advocate within her community, Frankie served on the Argyle Park Civic Association and also served numerous terms on her children's PTA. She loved working puzzles, playing board games, working cross words, and crocheting. Predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Jack R. McGee, and son Gerald McGee. Survived by three daughters, Margaret McGee-Shepherd, Marybelle McGee-Binford, and Marlana McGee-Carter (Quinn); 14 grandchildren, 32 great-great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Herbert (Zakiyyah) McGee; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life 11 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 720 Mt. Vernon Ave., where her family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of service. Interment Evergreen Burial Park. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E.
