Dan was a great colleague and friend at CA. His ready, free-fire wit, feigned anger and ability to find something humorous in nearly everything punctured many a serious situation and pompous personality. He was a unique man who knew what he liked and was fiercely loyal to those who deserved his loyalty. His affection, pride and love for his daughter, Ashley, was deep and without limit. He was a first-class dad.
Carol and I extend our sincerest condolences to Ashley, Dan's family and friends.
Rest in peace in the arms of our Lord, Dan.

Dan was a fan of music and helped me out with a concert one year on stage. I remember his cowboy hat and boots! My Lower School students and I go to Sunrise twice a year to play a mini concert and he heard several of our programs. Always great to see the smile return to his face as he remembered his days at CA. I will miss him. You are in my prayers.

I worked with Dan for many years at Academy. They were years filled with laughs. Such a great guy. This place, and the world, was better for having him. All the best to you in his family.

My condolences to the family. I was friends with Danny from Elementary School through High School and I hated hearing this. Always a wonderful guy. Haven't seem or talked to him in many years but always remember him. A good person is gone.

I enjoyed working with Dan at Columbus Academy. He was a kind man. Thinking of your family at this time.
