"Jack Lee Akin" was BURIED [marked with a bronze mounted on white military flush to the ground marker] on NOV 9, 2021 (on what would of been his 66th birthday) @ the GROVE CITY CEMETERY IN GROVE CITY, OHIO - IN THE AKIN PLOT [marked with a red granite headstone with just their name "AKIN" written on it] - ALONG SIDE HIS LATE FATHER, "Jack E Akin" [marked with a white military flush to the ground marker, which reads: "JACK E AKIN , OHIO , 818 AIR ENGR SQ AAT , JULY 1, 1918 - JULY 2, 1968"] -LOCATION IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CENTER SECTION OF THE MOST EASTERN PART OF THE CEMETERY - WHICH IS DUE SOUTH OF GROVE CITY RD & JUST WEST OF THE RR TRACKS [& approx. 1/4 mile west of Broadway/US62/OH3 Road] & BETWEEN THE 2 EASTERN MOST CEMETERY RDS & BETWEEN THE 2ND & 3RD CEMETERY RDS SOUTH OF GROVE CITY RD + NORTH OF THE CEMETERY SOUTHERN BORDER. His marker reads: "JACK LEE AKIN , AMN US AIR FORCE , VIETNAM , NOV 9, 1955 * MAY 13, 2021 , CHERISHED COMPANION , GONE FISHIN" Note: * - on his marker where the asterick is above, between the DOB & DOD is the "Four Direction" VA Emblem #53 in honor of both Jacks' Cherokee heritage.
