SLATZER Robert Franklin Slatzer, age 77, died March 28 in Los Angeles, CA. Born in Marion, OH to Alice and Frank Slatzer. He graduated from Marion Harding High School; attended The Ohio State University. Worked at the Columbus Dispatch Newspaper. Moved to California where he wrote several published books and produced movies. Preceded in death by parents and brother Woodrow. Survived by wife, Deborah of LA and family; sister-in-law, Hazel Slatzer; nieces, Patricia Gordon, Beverly Morris; great-niece, nephew Kimberly and Todd Morris, all of Columbus. Funeral service to be held April 15, 3 p.m., PIERCE BROTHERS WESTWOOD VILLAGE MEMORIAL CHAPEL in LA.

I am fortunate to have known Mr. Slatzer and will always treasure the times I shared with him and his wife Debby. He is a respected man and will truly be missed. More than anything I will miss talking to him.
