I received a remembrance of Mr. Chickerella and wanted to add that in genealogy I have been to a little town in Sicily called Cianciana, where Johns parents were born. It seems the Chickerella family came from the same place but spelled a little different. Little did I know when I attended Linden that I would marry into the LaCorte/Calcara family. I love family history. Gone but not forgotten. Roberta Hanning LaCorte (wife of John)

Connie, It was wonderful talking with you at the funeral home and being able to share some of the great "sayings" Mr. Chickerella shared with me over the eight years I worked with him at Prudential. Thanks to him, I enjoyed 32 years of marriage with Paul Grossman. I still remember the day vividly in 1968 when he told me that he had hired a guy for me to marry! I owe him a lot.... for Paul, 3 children, and 5 grandchildren...Thanks Mr. Chickerella, may you rest in peace! You will be missed.

You never know all of the people you touch in your lifetime and the impact that you have on them. I remember as a child meeting my Great Aunt Rose's brothers and their families. Such good people who lived their core values and served so many through their work and volunteerism. I'm honored to have been at least remotely tied to your family. God bless you!

To Connie and family........what great memories of Linden-McKinley and you and Sam. We were all so excited (us girls in class of 54) because we thought we "fixed you guys up". Of course we didn't really but I remember the big beautiful smile on your face when you saw him and we would tease you. God has special rewards for him in Heaven.
