-I have fond memories of our co- directing musicals at John Marshall High School, and of our judging speech contests on Saturdays. More recently, I have enjoyed many Sunday lunches with Jan. She will be missed.

Miss Eberle, such a force and one of a few teachers that encouraged me to tap into expressing my feelings into words and the 5 w's....Being in her class and on the yearbook staff was a small slice of peace and calm in my chaotic life at that time, and she made it possible to bear. RIP Miss E.

I have fond memories of Ms. Eberle. She was a positive influence, one of the most patient teachers from JMHS, and she made quite the impact on me. I had her for English my sophomore year ('85-'86). She was a jewel and will be missed. My sincere condolences to her family. ~

Ms. Eberle was my Sophmore English teacher at JMHS. I had the privilege to see her again these last couple years. It brought back some fond memories of high school, the stories we read in class, the classmates friends. Condolences to her friends and family.

Janet was one of my high school BFF's. Fun times and good conversation continued through our adult years. Till we will meet again my dear friend, rest in peace. To Margaret and family, my deepest sympathy. Hugs and much love.

Jan was beloved at Tech H.S.--a great friend and a beautiful person--honest, yet kind. I taught English at Tech 1987-1993 and admired Jan's work ethic, her balanced approach, and her quick wit. I always appreciated her sense of humor. She truly will be missed. Elizabeth Brayton, Tech Retired Teachers Association

Ms. Eberle was one of those teachers who had a positive impact on my life. I enjoyed being on her yearbook staff at John Marshall H.S., where I learned a great deal about photography, then enjoyed reconnecting with her at journalism teacher conferences when my wife was a high school journalism advisor.
Rest in peace Ms. Eberle.

A great teacher to have. She computerized the JMHS paper in the early 80s. She loved her work, and taught with enthusiasm. I'll miss her.

Ms. Eb was so much more than a teacher to me, she really cared. She put up so much with my high school sweetheart and me, so many memories. The one pic I had published in the John Marshall High School year was of her raising her fist from her desk....CHARGE! She will be greatly missed.

Janet was by far my favorite teacher during my four years in high school. She kept me engaged getting involved in the newspaper culminating in co-editor in chief of the Liberator my senior year. She also got me hooked on IU basketball and actually took me to my first game. She attended my wedding several years later. My love of photography and reading are due in a large part to her.

I have lots of fun memories of high school with Janet. So sorry for her years of poor health but I will always remember her as a witty and pleasant friend. May she live forever with our Lord. Margaret and Lynn and their families have my deepest sympathy for their loss.
With our thoughts and prayers,

Ms. Eberle was a teacher at my high School, (John Marshall). While I didn't have her as a teacher, I remember her fondly and had great respect for her endless work with the yearbook staff. We were blessed with great teachers at JMHS, Ms. Eberle included. My condolences to her family.
