My deepest sympathy to the Barton family on the loss of this wonderful woman. She taught me biology at Nazareth Academy (1964-5) and was one of my favorite high school teachers. She made learning so much fun. Our families had connections in Lexington, but I only got to know her as a student at Nazareth. We stayed in touch off and on over the years, and I loved visiting her on her farm. I will share this sad news with those she taught at Nazareth. She was beloved by us all!

To all the Barton´s on this tragic week for the living,
Our hearts are with you as you mourn both Cissy and John. I only heard last night about their deaths and misunderstood that Cissy´s service was today not Saturday.

I am so sorry to have missed saying farewell to a gem of a woman. She blessed us all by just being seen through her eyes. May we all develop her loving heart. In Christ, we pray for you all.

Cissy was truly an angel here on earth and now in heaven. One of the sweetest ladies we have ever known. She truly had a heart of gold. Sending love to all of her family.

I am so sorry to hear that Margaret has died. She w as so wonderful when Jack and I joined St. Frances of Rome when we moved to Louisville. She joked that we were family because our last name was Williams also. I kept in touch with her up to a year or so ago. She was such a wonderful person and made it so easy to become the "new kids on the block." Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be missed.
