Alice Marie Veith

Alice Marie Ruckert Veith of Louisville - 90, born February 6, 1936, passed away February 11, 2026 after a long beautiful life.

Alice grew up in Louisville, graduated from Presentation Academy, and was a loving, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifetime advocate of Right to Life, a longtime member of St. Thomas More Parish and a lover of sewing, cooking, drawing, painting and playing with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Veith, her parents; Marie Tyler and George Ruckert, and her siblings; Johnny, Esther, and Rose.

Alice is survived by her loving sister, Georgia Overberg. She was a devoted mother of eight children, Dennis (Beth), Jerry (Jennifer), Rick (Debbie), Chris, Matt (Beth), Cathy (Darrell Hyche), Anthony (Julie), and Patty. She was a proud grandma to 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive. Her funeral Mass will take place at 12 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 5505 New Cut Rd., with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
