Robert Kay Obituary
Robert E Kay, 61, of Carmel, NY passed on May 22, 2016 after a recent illness. Born in the Bronx, he grew up in Riverdale, Yorktown, and West Harrison, NY. He attended Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, Class of 1973. He then went on to receive a degree in Business Marketing from Pace University. He spent most of his career working for Verizon and later Verizon Wireless, and had recently retired.
Robert is survived by his father, Stanley Kay, and sister, Jeanine Kay, both of West Palm Beach, Florida, his brother Kevin Kay, of York, Maine. His life partner and fiancée, Cathy Cassidy of Carmel, NY. He is also survived by his beloved cousins in Delaware and the Delaney family. His mother Joan Kay (Mullins) predeceased him.
A true wordsmith. He loved his music, his sports, his friendships and his fathers' spaghetti sauce. Bob's true love was his cats - both past and present. He had nine lives himself. He was one of a kind - never a dull moment. He will truly be missed. Hurry Home!
A celebration of his life will be held on June 18, 2016 at Vineyard Community Church, 609 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY, 12533 at 2 pm. Donations in his memory can be made to: Equine Advocates, PO Box 354, Chatham, NY 12037 or www.equineadvocates.org. Or to a feline shelter of your choice.

I have such found memories of Bobby. I am so sorry we lost touch over the many years but thought of him often. My condolences to his family and loved ones. Remember he will always live on in your hearts and memories.
