Hal Martin Obituary
Hal E. "Hippie Hal" Martin, 67, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away peacefully Friday, May 19, 2023, at 9:21 p.m. in his home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in Section O of Greenwood Cemetery, 153 Tilden Ave., Michigan City, Indiana.
The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, Indiana, is handling arrangements.
He was born Oct. 31, 1955, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Harold and Arbutus (Beck) Martin. On Jan. 21, 1978, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Antoinette "Toni" Lindou, who survives in Trail Creek, Indiana.
Also surviving are a daughter, Krista (Tim Pendergast) Martin of Trail Creek, Indiana; son, Jason (Jamie) Martin of Valparaiso, Indiana; granddaughter, Olivia Martin of Westfield, Indiana; and his sister, Kaye Martin of Michigan City, Indiana. Also surviving are a niece and nephew, an aunt, and several uncles and cousins.
Hal was a painter at Kustom Auto Body, Hobart, Indiana. He enjoyed Corvettes, playing in a band, attending concerts, collecting Hot Wheels, working in the yard, and having fun.
Contributions may be made to Michiana Humane Society, 722 Indiana Highway 212, Michigan City, IN, 46360; Independent Cat Society, P.O Box 735, Westville, IN, 46391; or to the Acorn Theater, 107 Generations Dr., Three Oaks, MI, 49128.
