Joseph Shell Obituary
Warner Robins, ga- Joseph Preston Shell, 84, of Warner Robins, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 29th, 2012 at his daughter's home in Knoxville, Maryland.
Joseph was born March 13th, 1928 in Douglas County, GA, the son of the late George Lee and Melvie Irene (Bearden) Shell.
Joseph was retired from the United States Air Force as well as from the Federal Service. He was a long-time resident of Warner Robins and a member of the Second Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Ruth Diane Wertz and Deborah Ann Frassmann; one son, Joseph Daniel Shell; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ralph Wayne Shell; his brother, George Shell; and his sisters, Elva Daniel, Louise Hamby, and Evelyn Croft.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home, 8640 Rose Avenue, Douglasville. The Rev. Mike Slade will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
