Erma Meyerhoeffer Obituary

Erma Pauline Meyerhoeffer

Dec. 6, 1939 - March 26, 2024

TWINS FALLS - Erma Pauline (Harding) Meyerhoeffer completed her earthly journey the evening of March 26, 2024, at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho surrounded by family after a long valiant battle with Alzheimer's.

Pauline was born on December 6, 1939, in Malad, Idaho to June Yearsley and Benjamin Williams Harding. She was the sixth of seven children born to their union preceded by: Gerald Benjamin, Dwight Conrad, Mattie Louise, June Gay, James Merrill, and her birth was followed by her baby sister, Tamra Sue. When Pauline was three years old, her family moved to Tucson, Arizona, next on to Uniontown and then Pullman, Washington, before finally landing in Moscow, Idaho when she was nine. There she spent most of her growing up years graduating from Moscow High School in 1958. Her cheerleading skills which she perfected and performed during her school years served her well as she continued to use them her whole life as an avid supporter and fan of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Pauline married the love of her life Gerald Robert "Jerry" Meyerhoeffer on December 30, 1958, in Moscow, Idaho. Together they built a life centered around family, sports, service, and love as they moved from Moscow, to Buhl, back to Moscow and then to Twin Falls, Idaho where they spent the majority of their more than 65 years together.

Pauline served in many volunteer capacities and on the CSI Foundation, but the center and focus of her life was always her family and her relationship with her Father in Heaven. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Pauline was known for the presentations that she gave to the community and church groups sharing her mother's inspirational story and for her caring words of wisdom that she graciously dispensed to any in need who knew her. Her last words were "thank you" to a caregiver.

Pauline is survived by her husband, Jerry Meyerhoeffer; four children: Teresa Dee (Roger) Christensen, Christopher Lee (Tracey) Meyerhoeffer, Steven David (Eva) Meyerhoeffer and Jason Andrew (Michele) Meyerhoeffer; she has fifteen grandchildren: Emily Huber, Stephanie Platt, Chelsea Buttars, Hailey Taylor, KC Christensen, Keegan Christensen, Cole Meyerhoeffer, Lexi Zimmers, Nick Meyerhoeffer, Hannah Packard, Kade Meyerhoeffer, Preston Meyerhoeffer, Alec Meyerhoeffer, Connor Meyerhoffer and Drew Meyerhoeffer; also, fifteen great-grandchildren with two more arriving this August and September, that will add to the growing numbers of Pauline's posterity. Her sister, Tamra Sue (Bob) Arthur also survives her.

Pauline's parents and all other siblings proceeded her in death.

Services to honor Pauline's full life will be held on April 1, 2024, Easter Monday at 11:00 AM at the LDS Church, 723 Hankins Road North, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the same building. Due to Pauline's love of hearts all who attend the memorial are welcome to wear or carry a heart in her honor and please continue to fill the world with love as you leave.

She was such a lovely lady and both she and Jerry were precious friends to my mom and dad, Lois and Chuck Lehrman.
Jerry, my heart is with you as you navigate life without your beloved Pauline by your side. Mom and dad loved you both very much!

Dear Meyerhoeffer family, My and those of our entire Ellis family extend our sincere condolences upon the passing of your wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Pauline was always gracious and kind each time we met, and I enjoyed our years when our children and yours were growing up together, and they´ve all remained close friends to this day. We had some good laughs sharing stories about raising our children. When we´d greet each other, because our names were similar, I´d say, "Hi Paulette and and she´d say Hi Pauline" and we´d have a giggle.
Rest in peace dear friend. You´ve been a good and faithful servant.
