Harold Trobaugh "Mo" Meyerhoeffer, 91, of Dayton, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at White Birch Estates.
He was born on October 12, 1934 and was a son of the late Lawrence and Virginia (Trobaugh) Meyerhoeffer.
Mo was united in marriage on September 9, 1962 to Janet Eveleen (Wichael) Meyerhoeffer who preceded him in death on January 25, 2017.
Harold was a truck driver, and had driven for UPS, Hartman's, Smith's Transfer, Double M Farms and Office Products prior to giving up his CDL at the age of 85. He was a member of St. Jacob's "Spaders" Lutheran Church and a former member of Dayton United Methodist Church. He served his country in the National Guard and was an active member of the Dayton American Legion Post #27. Mo and Janet enjoyed traveling in their RV and trips to Smith Mountain Lake.
Mo is survived by nieces and nephews, Sandra Harman, Betty Link, Brenda Sutton, Sonny Meyerhoeffer, Lee DePoy, Melinda Simmons, Larry DePoy, Susan DePoy Phillips and James Huffer.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret DePoy, and brothers, Leonard Meyerhoeffer and Cecil Meyerhoeffer.
A graveside service celebrating Mo's life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Dayton Cemetery with Rev. Don Hawks officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Dayton American Legion Post #27.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sentara RMH Hahn Cancer Center.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at johnsonfs.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.
