He received several commendations including the Army Commendation Medal, Silver Star, two Bronze Stars for valor, and a Purple Heart. He was a true American who loved his country. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, twins Clayton and Reece, Jered, Spencer (Rebecca), and Hannah White (Trevor) along with three great-granddaughters, Willow, Micah, and Darcy. A special thanks to neighbors Luke and Alex Troyer for their loyalty and assistance to him and his family in times of need. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Lou Sharp, brother, Jerry, and sister, Mary Elkins. Larry will be remembered for his bravery and dedication to his family and country. He enjoyed working in his shop on his antique Jeep, fishing, playing with his devoted dog, Bella, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
