A. Stanley Willett II, 87, is resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Stan "Skip" was born to the late Katherine (Whistler), and Stanley Willett in Louisville, KY. He was retired from Willett Engineering Inc. and a member of Beechland Baptist Church. Stan had a heart for service. He served on the board of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was the founder of Coins for Christ at Beachland Baptist Church, and crocheted baby blankets for a crisis pregnancy center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Charlotte Kay "Cookie" Willett, and his wife of 65 years, Bettye Lou (Finck) Willett.
Stan is survived by his children, Cheri Soriano (Henry), Todd Willett (Devie), and Holly Bowler (Josh); grandchildren, Hannah (Michael), Lucas (Megan), Sarah (Jacob), Isaiah, Cara, Veyla, Henry Jr., and Cierra; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Stan's life will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Coins for Christ at Beechland Baptist Church.

May the Lord hold you especially close and comfort you at this difficult time. I met Stan only once or twice but as you know Bettye Lou was my very best friend when we were children. I know Stan is at peace now since he is with his beloved Bettye.
