Abraham J Lescano ObituaryAbraham J. Lescano, age 81, of Rahway, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 22, 2025. Born in Cajamarca, Peru, Abraham immigrated to the United States in 1979. He and his beloved wife, Irma, made New Jersey their home for over 45 years.
Abraham worked at Honeywell until his retirement. Known as a true jack of all trades, he had an extraordinary ability to fix just about anything. His generous spirit and willingness to help others defined who he was, but above all, his greatest joy and pride was his family.
Family meant everything to Abraham. Time spent with his grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness and became the highlight of his later years. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is predeceased by his parents Leoncio & Silvia Lescano as well as his siblings Rosa, Enrique, Carmella and Jose. Surviving is his wife Irma of 50 years, his son Christian Lescano & his wife Patricia, his grandchildren Victor, Emilia, Laya and Christian Jr., his siblings Chela, Teresa, Andres, Lucho, Cesar, Elena and Susana as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
Calling hours at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin will be Saturday from 10am – 2pm. A funeral mass will take place at 2:30pm at Our Lady of Victories Church in Sayreville. A private cremation will follow. Abraham J. Lescano, de 81 años y residente de Rahway, falleció pacíficamente en su hogar el viernes 22 de agosto de 2025. Nacido en Cajamarca, Perú, Abraham emigró a Estados Unidos en 1979. Él y su amada esposa, Irma, residieron en Nueva Jersey durante más de 45 años.
Abraham trabajó en Honeywell hasta su jubilación. Conocido como un hombre multifacético, poseía una extraordinaria capacidad para solucionar prácticamente cualquier problema. Su generosidad y su disposición a ayudar a los demás lo definieron, pero sobre todo, su mayor alegría y orgullo fue su familia. Para Abraham, su familia lo era todo. El tiempo que pasaba con sus nietos le brindaba una felicidad inconmensurable y se convirtió en el momento culminante de sus últimos años. Todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo lo extrañarán profundamente.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Leoncio y Silvia Lescano, así como sus hermanos, Rosa, Enrique, Carmella y José. Le sobreviven su esposa, Irma, con quien estuvo casado 50 años; su hijo, Christian Lescano, y su esposa, Patricia; sus nietos, Víctor, Emilia, Laya y Christian Jr.; sus hermanos, Chela, Teresa, Andrés, Lucho, César, Elena y Susana; así como sus queridos sobrinos, sobrinas, primos, amigos y vecinos.
El velorio en la funeraria Carmen F. Spezzi, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, será el sábado de 10 a. m. a 2 p. m. en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de las Victorias en Sayreville. Posteriormente, se realizará una cremación privada.
