Ada Darlene O’Neill, 64, of Neoga, IL passed away at 11:43 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the Haven of Arcola, IL.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the funeral home. Rev. Keith Warren and Rev. Brain Petersheim will officiate. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery in rural Mattoon, IL.
Ada was born on August 2, 1960 in Mattoon, IL. She was a daughter of Levi Eugene and Viola S. (Petersheim) Gingerich.
She is survived by six brothers, Richard Gingerich of Arcola, IL, Myron Gingerich of Tuscola, IL, Darryl E. Gingerich and his wife Roberta of Neoga, IL, Loyal L. Gingerich of Grand Ledge, MI, Marion L. Gingerich and his wife Tammy of Arthur, IL, and Dennis L. Gingerich and his wife Mariah of Seattle, WA, adopted loving family, “mom”, Linda Smith and her husband Lowell of Neoga, IL, “sisters”, Dana Lindley and her husband Brian of Neoga, IL and Debbie Carman and her fiancé Derek Hardesty of Arcola, IL, and a very good friend, Wayne Ciro of Neoga, IL
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister-in-law, Pam Gingerich.
Ada was a member of the Neoga First Christian Church. She loved quilting, baking and putting puzzles together.
