The outpouring of support has been tremendous. Donations for funeral expenses are greatly appreciated by the family.
Please Zelle to Laura Birtas 630-363-1514,

Adam John Birtas, age 34, late of Roselle, and formerly of Joliet and Morris, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, from complications of pneumonia.
Born September 10, 1989 in Joliet, he was a graduate of Morris High School, and was a proud member of Painters Local #521, where he worked as a suspended scaffolding painter, and was very proud to have the opportunity to work alongside his father.
Adam was a happy, positive, kind-hearted and generous person who fiercely loved his children and family. He had the ability to make everyone he knew and met feel special, and they in turn loved him back. His interests included cars, fishing with his boys, and skiing, and he was proud of his Greek heritage. His warm, strong hugs will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Birtas of Joliet; his father and step-mother, George and Laura Birtas of Roselle; his three adoring children, Theseus "Theo", Tydeus "Ty", and Athena; his sisters, Amanda (Jacob) Bumgarner and Alexandra Birtas; one nephew, Xavier; two step-brothers, Alexander and Christian Chara; one step-sister, Courtney Chara; his maternal grandmother, Sharon "Nini" Russell; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Max "Cotton" Russell and John and Mary Lou Birtas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated.
Visitation for Adam Birtas will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet.
