Adam Donald Bond

Adam Donald Bond, age 40, of Grayson, Kentucky went home to find peace with the Lord on Monday, January 29th, 2024.
Adam was born in Morehead, Kentucky on September 13, 1983 to parents Terri and Allen. He was a loving, kind, and gentle father, husband, friend, son, grandson, nephew, and brother. He loved everyone he met with an open heart and brought light to all those around him with his joyful soul and his infectious passion for living. He was an amazing father; the type of father that snuggles on the couch, walks joyfully with his son on his shoulders, and bakes cakes with his daughter. His face would beam with pride and joy when he was with his kids or talking about them.
Adam was a lover of fine things and everything he did, he did fully. He loved to garden, but no small garden would do. His garden would grow the biggest pumpkins and the brightest tulips and feed a thousand people. He loved to cook and his goal with each dish was clearly to make it the best thing you had ever tasted; the best steak, the best Bolognese sauce, the best cake. He was a musician and a lover of music. He loved all of these things because he loved to fill others with joy. He would give you the shirt off his back or the cowboy hat off his head and his generosity of spirit had no bounds.
Adam was an outdoorsman. From gardening to foraging for mushrooms to hunting and fishing, Adam was always most at home with dirt on his hands and mud on his boots. He loved to share these passions with others, teaching his friends and family what he had learned about fishing, hunting, foraging or gardening. And he approached these hobbies like he approached everything, with full gusto.
Adam was a nurse. Those of us that knew his capacity for caring for others and empathy couldn't have picked a better profession for him. He found his professional calling working as a nurse at Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) where he could use his story and his light to strengthen, support, and help others struggling with addiction. He touched countless lives through his work in recovery and he was always ready to share his story and struggles to help someone else get through a tough time.
Finally, Adam loved the Lord and found peace in Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Foundation Church in Grayson, Kentucky and proudly baptized his daughter there. He loved to testify about how the love of God had changed his life and brought him peace in order to help others find the light at the end of the tunnel. Adam is a beautiful soul whose light touches all those around him.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lana Offill and his grandfather, Donald Bond. Adam is survived by the love of his life, Brittany Lewis Bond; one daughter, Poppy Bond; one son, Pierce Bond; his parents, Terri and Allen Bond of Lexington, KY; two sisters, Wendi Owen and her husband Joey Owen of Lexington, KY and Miahala Bond of Lexington, KY; two brothers, Casey Bond and Elijah Bond of Lexington, KY; one grandfather, Donald Offill of Olive Hill, KY; one grandmother, Mary Bond of Olive Hill, KY, along with many other family and friends that will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Sparks Funeral Home, 203 West Main Street, Grayson, KY with pastor Aaron Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Biggs Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, KY.
Casey Bond, Elijah Bond, Aaron Borton, Matthew Krepsik, Joey Owen and Tyler Deaton will serve as pallbearers. Tommy Bond will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
