Kevin Boggs

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and welI preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: Wow! What a Ride!..... And that was our Dad. He enjoyed it to the last drop and did exactly as he pleased and was always up for a good time and laughter. Each one of you that knew him knows the truth in these words. Being a child of "Kev" meant that we had a front row seat to one of the most unique life's that has ever been lived.
Kevin loved his family and friends like no other. Everyone, family or friends that was in his life always felt that they had "their" place with him in his heart and mind.
Mark Kevin Boggs, Loving Father, Brother, and Papaw, age 70 passed away at his home (Leon) October 10, 2024 surrounded by his children and close friends. Kevin was a boilermaker, a police officer, a business owner, and jack of many trades. He was a member of the Willard American Legion, as well a Mason through the Trimble Lodge. He enjoyed his family and friends above all. Dad was a social butterfly and loved people (since he never met a stranger) and being in a lively conversation giving someone a hard time more than anything else he ever did in life. He enjoyed sitting in his swing on the front porch to preside as the Mayor of Leon and be readily available for anyone that may need his opinions upon life, love, or anything else, as he had advice "or jokes" on alI subjects.
Kevin is preceded in death by his Dad and Mom, Robert "Bob" Boggs and JoAnn Counts Boggs. He leaves behind a brother, Roy David Boggs (Theresa), sister, Angie Coburn (Scott). Children, R.W. Boggs (Trena), Wesley Boggs (Kim), Raegan Countryman (Ray), Brittany Griffith (Chauncy), Hunter Boggs. Grandchildren: Cheyenne Christon, Trinity and Layla Boggs, Abby Fowler, Bella Charles, Kaelan, Reese, Issac and Corbin Boggs. Everly and Elayna Countryman. Bryce, Abby, and Aiden Griffith. Baylor and Jensen Boggs. Great grandchildren, Rylee Fowler and Aspen Charles.
Kevin also leaves behind a host of family and close friends he cherished that will mourn his loss. A Celebration of Life will be Monday, October 14th, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
A private burial service will be at a later date.
