Adam Morrison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dale Woodward Funeral Homes and Cremation Services - Daytona Beach on Nov. 10, 2023.
In Memory of Adam Morrison
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Adam Morrison, a cherished son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, and friend, on November 1, 2023. Born on August 23, 2001, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Adam's journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit and commitment to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Since his early childhood days, Adam radiated boundless energy and enthusiasm. He found joy in constructing intricate projects with Lego bricks and in spending time with his loyal dog, Cooper. His extraordinary speed made him an unbeatable contender, whether racing through the streets with his siblings and friends or gliding through the pool as a gifted young swimmer.
Adam was a proud graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, where he cultivated his passion for engineering. His pursuit of a mechanical engineering degree and his dedication to the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) for four years with the Army showcased his deep sense of duty and leadership.
Beyond the classroom and military service, Adam found solace and joy in working on trucks, a hobby that allowed him to showcase his mechanical prowess and creativity. His love for this hands-on work mirrored his approach to life – methodical, diligent, and filled with a genuine enthusiasm for exploration.
Adam's passions extended far beyond his truck; he had a deep love and appreciation for his bird, Markus, who brought companionship and cheerful melodies to Adam's life. While our hearts are broken with Adam's passing, we find comfort in the thought of his reunion with Markus, as their special bond lives on.
Adam is survived by his parents, Vanessa and David Morrison, and by his six siblings, Sam, David, Robby, Heidi, Erin, and Kelly, whose lives he touched with his warmth, kindness, humor, and unwavering support. He is also survived by his grandparents, Bob and Barbara Morrison, and Hiliary and Steve Stephens, his aunts, uncles, seven cousins, two nephews, and a niece, who also mourn the loss of Adam, who was always there for them and who brought joy to their lives for the last 22 years.
While we grieve the untimely loss of Adam, we also celebrate the beautiful life he led and the indelible impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. The Morrison family invites friends and well-wishers to join them in a service to honor Adam's memory at the Jim W. Henderson Administration and Welcome Center, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, on November 12, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations are kindly requested to be made to a fundraiser located on Go Fund Me. Donations will go directly to the Morrison Family to help with financial costs through this difficult time.
May Adam rest in peace, and may his spirit continue to inspire us all.

I had the privilege of working briefly with Adam, helping to train him as a head cashier for Home Depot in Daytona. He learned quickly, had a great sense of humor, and was so cute!! (I am 67 yrs old). My heart hurts for such an early departure!
