Adele Wheatley Obituary

It is our belief that she left this world to be with her husband William Wheatley Sr., who passed away February 11, 2025. After sharing 75 years of marriage and love, they did not want to be apart.
She was born in Keyport, New Jersey to the late William Poling Sr. and Della (Divitz) Poling.
Adele is also predeceased by her son-in-law Harold Mathews; and her siblings Genevieve Barrett and her husband Eugene: Stanley Poling and his wife Jean, and William Poling.
Adele was a wonderful, caring Mother to her four children JoAnn Buonomo and her husband Richard of Red Bank, William Wheatley Jr. of Manchester, John Wheatley and his fiancée Kelly Kinsel of West Palm Beach, Florida and Linda Mathews of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; dear grandchildren Erica Disner and her husband Jonathan, Jenna Stevens and her husband Ryan, Kryssa Lambert and her husband Andrew, Rickie Buonomo, Justin Mathews, Emily Wheatley, and Ryan Wheatley; and cherished great-grandchildren Logan Stevens, Rylan Disner, Wheatley Disner, Lexi Lambert and Ethan Lambert.
She was a High School graduate from Keyport High School and former owner with her husband William of Wheatley's Exxon in West Keansburg.
Adele had a full life. She enjoyed traveling, reading, knitting and baking (always sharing her creations). She cherished her friends and extended family; they enjoyed many memorable parties at their Hazlet home over the years.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Adele on Sunday July 27, 2025 from 4PM - 7PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New
Jersey 07735 and again on Monday July 28, 2025 10AM at the funeral home for an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church (Our Lady of Fatima Parish) of Keyport.
Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery of Keyport.
