Obituary
Aimee Lyn (Stich) Bowers, 40, of Whiteland, IN, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Indianapolis, IN.
Aimee was born on June 29, 1982 in Indianapolis. She was affectionately known as "Aims" and was beloved by all who knew her kind spirit. Aimee was a lover of food, the color pink, flamingos, laughing, music, her fur babies, her family, friends, and her faith. To know Aimee was to have laughed or to have shared a kind word, whether a close friend or stranger. Being humbly social was a special gift upon which Aimee was bestowed; those around her were drawn to her infectious and ebullient personality. Aimee was a wonderful younger sister and surrogate parent to any animal that crossed her path. Selflessness and generosity were two traits that highlighted her personality. Aimee touched the lives of so many people in such a short amount of time; she was able to accomplish much before her untimely passing. A graduate of Whiteland High School in 2001, Aimee was a community volunteer and infectious spirit who then chased her dreams of a career in the dental field and attended the University of Southern Indiana. While on break from the university in the Summer of 2005, she met the love of her life, Jacob Bowers. They fell in love on their first date while watching Hitch. Jacob proposed to Aimee on a romantic hot air balloon ride at Oliver Winery in 2006 and they were married the following year and were together for seventeen wonderful years.
Aimee had an unassuming and disarming smile that could put anyone at ease; from newborns to the elderly, everyone was Aimee's friend. Her sense of humor was second to none and she was as compassionate as she was funny. Even when ill, Aimee was never angry, sad, or depressed she could find the silver lining to keep pushing forward in any situation. Aimee was so special. She represented the good that we all need every day in our lives. She was one of a select few who could actually rise to meet challenges with a smile. We are proud to have been able to call Aimee our sister, our daughter, our friend, and beloved wife. Her spirit is one of one.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob Wayne Bowers; parents, David Stich of Greenwood and Cheryl (Rietel) Stich of Whiteland; her brothers, Chris Griffin of New Jersey and Kevin Schrand of Iowa; her cousins, Chad Wright and Cory Wright; her aunts, Cathy Wright and Pamela Anderson; her uncles, Brian Rietel, Tim Stich, and Kevin Wright, and the countless friends and lives Aimee has touched throughout her life.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Jessen & Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel with memorial service at 1:00pm.
Though flowers are appreciated, memorial contributions may be made in Aimee's honor to the Johnson County Humane Society.
