Alan Lewis Goedeke, age 73, passed away at home after a short battle with cancer on June 17, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Doris Goedeke and older brother, Ken Goedeke. He is survived by daughter Jordan Goedeke; son Ross Goedeke and wife Cynthia; grandchildren Nathan, Gavin and Avery Goedeke; Shannon Goedeke; sister Doris Marches, brother Jon Goedeke and wife Toni; sister in law Joy Goedeke; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Alan was a 1970 graduate of Waltrip Sr High in Houston. He was retired from Gardner Denver (formerly Nash Engineering) after 30+ years, notably heading the company's service operations in Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and Singapore.
Alan never met a stranger and welcomed everyone. He had a great laugh and wonderful sense of humor, always ready with a story or joke to tell. His caring nature was apparent to anyone in need.
Alan was a devoted son, brother, father and "PaPa". His children and grandchildren were his great joys and he was theirs. The memories they shared, whether family beach vacations, holidays or just those of day to day life, will live on in their memories.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Haris Baig and the staff at Texas Oncology and Gentiva Hospice for their care of our loved one. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your preferred charity.
The family will honor Alan's life in a private celebration at a future time. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Alan, please visit our floral store.
