The family of Alan W. Hadfield of Bristol, CT, is saddened to announce his passing on June 17, 2025, at the age of 72 years after a long illness. Alan grew up in Plainville, CT, graduating from High School in 1971. He worked as a house painter and was a "jack of all trades". In later years he was employed as a personal care assistant for the sick and disabled. In his free time, Alan enjoyed fishing, motorcycling, hiking, politics and caring for his beloved pets. His earlier years were spent in Vermont and on the CT Shoreline at the family cottages. Alan is survived by his sisters, Dale Johnson and her husband Dave of Surprise, AZ and Lynn McMahon and her partner Allen A. Currier of Burlington, CT. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Margaret Hadfield who lived in Bristol, CT and also by his nephew Shawn R. McMahon who lived in Burlington, CT. Those who knew Alan will remember him as a kind, caring and compassionate soul, devoted to his friends and family. At Alan's request, all services will be held privately.
