Alan D. Pullem

Alan D. Pullem, aged 70, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Baptist Health Hospital. A native of Louisville, Alan had a distinguished career, retiring as an Electric System Coordinator with Louisville Gas and Electric. In this crucial role, he was instrumental in maintaining the safety and operational integrity of the transmission system. Beyond his professional achievements, Alan devoted his time to youth volunteer work with the American Red Cross and served as an officer of the Louisville Jaycees.
He was predeceased by his parents, Noah and Norma Pullem. His memory is lovingly cherished by his wife of 37 years, Marilyn Payne Pullem; his daughters, Megan (Sean) O'Reilly and Leah Wensink; his sons, William (Rachel) Pullem and Kyle (Jenni) Pullem; his sister, Marsha Tinch; his brother, Scott Pullem; his cherished niece; his adored great-niece and great-nephew; and his eight treasured grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersontown, 10600 Taylorsville Rd. His funeral service is scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the same location. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Stroke Association.
