Mr. Alan Scott Wallace, age 59, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 5, 2025 at North Cheraw Baptist Church by Pastor Donald Wallace, Jr. and Reverend Dennis Wallace. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of his cousin, Yvonne Simpson, 1324 Cane Mill Crossing, Cheraw, SC.
Mr. Wallace was born July 6, 1965 in Florence, SC a son of the late James Archie “Duce” Wallace and Brenda Johns Wallace. He was a graduate of Cheraw High School and attended Chesterfield – Marlboro TEC. Scott was a former employee of Takata Industries, a self-employed carpenter, and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Scott was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie and Ruby Johns, and R. Lee and Maggie Wallace; an infant son, Cody Alan Wallace; uncles, Vison Lee Johns, Willie David Johns, Randy Johns, and Jesse Wallace; and aunt, Donnie Dillard.
Survivors include his sons, Cameron Scott Wallace, and James Kyle Wallace both of Cheraw, SC and their mother, Tammy Gaddy; brother, Eric Lee Wallace of Cheraw, SC; uncles, Larry (Rudi Anne) Johns of AL, Jack (Patricia) Johns of Conway, SC; aunts, Ellen Tyner of Cheraw, SC, Gladys Grooms of Patrick, SC, and Annie Mae (Henry) Johnson of Cheraw, SC; and numerous cousins including special cousin and friend, Yvonne Simpson of Cheraw, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, c/o Arlene Hancock, 1680 Sam Jones Road, Patrick, SC 29584 or to North Cheraw Baptist Church, 101 Hartzell Ave, Cheraw, SC 29520
