Obituary of Albert Joseph Lockhart
Albert Joseph Lockhart, 77, beloved husband of Rosalind Seigler Lockhart passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, September 21, 2023, following an extended illness.
Born in Aiken, SC on July 28, 1946, he was the son of the late Barkwell & Ruby Lee Bussell Lockhart. Mr. Lockhart was a member of St. Andrew's Parish United Methodist Church in Charleston. He was a retired training facilitator at SRS. He loved hunting and fishing, but his most treasured times were those which he spent with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter and son-in-law, Leslie Jo Lockhart (Scott) Fennell of Charleston, SC; three brothers, Carl (Frances) Lockhart of Graniteville, Dr. Rick Lockhart of Milledgeville, GA. & Ron (Gayle) Lockhart of Leesville, SC; 2 grandchildren Madeleine Lockhart Fennell (Jim) Warren of Charleston & Wilson Scott Fennell of Charleston.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lockhart was pre-deceased in death by his brother, Dr. Wayne Lockhart.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 2:00pm in the George Funeral Home Historic Downtown Chapel officiated by Rev. Mike Cato.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00pm until 6:30pm at the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649.6234.
Memorials may be made to the MUSC Foundation Transplant Surgery Support Fund (#8810) 18 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29425 or to the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare, 199 Willow Run Road, Aiken, SC 29801.
