Alberto was born in Columbus, Oh to Arietta and Freddie Palmer on December 31st, 1980.
Growing up Alberto was an artist, karate lover, and aspiring rapper. He graduated from South High School in 1999, then immediately went to the Ohio State School of Cosmetology Barber College to obtain his barber license. Once he obtained his license in 2001, Alberto soon became a staple on the south side of Columbus by offering haircuts, jokes, and advice to his customers no matter the age or race. Alberto was not only funny, but generous, in 2018 he started Bertos Brown Bag followed by Bertos Back to School Bash in 2021. His focus was always to help the kids in the neighborhood. Alberto was loved deeply by his family, friends, customers, and community, he will be truly missed. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mattie and A.D. Adams, paternal grandparents Mable and Freddie Palmer Sr., as well as his aunt Tammie Palmer.
Alberto is survived by his parents Arietta and Freddie Palmer. His beloved children Phreshus and Myshaun Pace. His sisters Sonita Stanley, Myosha Gordon, and Monique Palmer. His dearest nieces and nephews Derrick Ennis, Romell Bolden, Tiffany, Layosha, and Markell McDowell, Wynter and Myrical Palmer-Wilson. His wife Shatoya Snow. His best friends Brandon (Joker) Lindsey, Gerard (Oop) Ellis, and Tarick Barton. His special uncle Darin Hendricks. His special cousin/brothers Miguel and Darryl Palmer along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and close friends. To my son:
It was a joy to have you! All of your life you always stayed positive and never let anything get in the way! I cannot believe I will never get to see your face or hear your voice again; my heart is broken in so many pieces. You were my little Munch, my love, and my best friend! I don't know how I am going to go on without you. But I know you will not let me fall. I love you forever. I am so glad to have been your mother, and I am so proud of the man you were! Don't worry, I will be alright, you are safe and no longer in pain.

I met Alberto in 2001 he and my wife had attended school together ... we were preparing for our 2nd Wedding anniversary and Berto was my Barber. After meeting him I was impressed with his spirit his demeanor was very nice and respectful yet I couldn´t get over his laugh he had a very good since of humor. We always talked and checked on each other and I stayed loyal to him as a customer. I lost touch one year and he found me and we kept it real from there on. I will always remember you Berto and I will miss you brother. Fly high in Heaven and know you are loved.
