A service to honor Aleia's life will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 beginning 11:00 AM at Bethany Baptist Church, 4 N Bethany Rd, McDonough, GA 30252. Interment will follow the service at New Hope Church Cemetery in Locust Grove, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, and again from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Aleia loved flowers, so flowers are welcome, however, if you prefer to make memorial contributions, the family has a fund set up through Caring For A Cause. You can give a tax deductible donation to that fund here: https://paybee.io/@cfac@40.

To honor Aleia's radiant spirit, the family kindly asks that you wear soft pastel colors, especially light blue, light pink, or floral patterns, her very favorites. Rather than traditional black, let's surround her with the gentle, happy colors she loved most as we celebrate the beauty and light she brought into our lives.

Aleia Dawn Kuhn, age 15, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, far too soon for those who loved her, but right on time for the Savior who called her home. She was born on July 23, 2009, in Stockbridge, Georgia, the daughter of Christopher Ryan Kuhn and Amanda Dawn Schroeder Kuhn.

Aleia was a light, she was pure, radiant, and unforgettable. There are no words big enough to capture the fullness of who she was. Aleia was a daughter, sister, cousin, best friend, and first love, but she was so much more than any title. She had a laugh that softened hard days and a smile that made people feel seen. In her short time on this earth, she left a mark that will echo through generations. Her life was full of joy. Trying to find the right words to honor her is impossible, because how do you summarize someone whose soul felt like sunlight? You don't. But you do remember her, carry her with you, and continue sharing her love.

Aleia loved hard and she loved wide. She was the heartbeat of her family, and she cherished every single member of it. She was especially tender when it came to babies, you had to move fast if you wanted to hold a newborn before Aleia did. She was known to quite literally run to a baby. Her nurturing spirit, her patience, and her absolute adoration for little ones were unmatched. She had the heart of a caretaker, and little ones always found comfort in her arms.

Aleia grew up surrounded by family who adored her and she knew it. She wore out the pasture from her house to her family's, making that well-trodden path a trail of memories filled with sleepovers, laughter, and barefoot joy. She had everyone wrapped around her finger.

Aleia was a rising 11th grader at Skipstone Academy in Griffin, Georgia, where she was thriving academically and socially. She was excited for everything the upcoming year had in store, school events, time with her friends, and most of all, she was counting down the days until her 16th birthday. She couldn't wait to drive, to celebrate, and to step into a new chapter of life. The joy she carried for the future was contagious, and everyone around her felt it.

Aleia was smart, driven, funny, and stunning both inside and out. She was competitive and confident when it came to sports, especially when playing volleyball, and fiercely loyal to her friends. Aleia was also super creative. She had recently begun doing nails and was already impressing everyone with her natural talent. She saw beauty in small details and had a way of making everyday moments feel magical.

She had the best taste in snacks from Nerd Clusters, Kinder chocolates, Twizzlers, salt & vinegar chips, Cheeto Puffs, and Chick-fil-A with every packet of ranch they'd give her. That was her joy. That was Aleia. Every ordinary thing was made special in her hands. She loved daisies like her momma.

But Aleia's life wasn't just marked by love and laughter, it was grounded in faith. She gave her heart to Jesus at a young age and was baptized on March 14, 2021. She wasn't just a believer; she was a beacon. You didn't have to ask Aleia if she loved the Lord because you felt it. She lived her faith every day, and Philippi Baptist Church was her spiritual home. Wednesday night youth group was her joy. The place where she worshipped, laughed, grew in the word, and surrounded herself with friends who loved her deeply. Those who shared that space with her will never forget her presence.

We are shattered. We are grieving. And yet, we have hope.

Aleia's life was short, but her impact was immeasurable. And though our selfishness wants her back, we know that if she had the choice, she wouldn't come back. Heaven is too beautiful, and her joy there is complete. We will see her again.

She leaves behind her parents, Chris and Amanda Kuhn; her brothers, Corben Kuhn and Colter Kuhn; grandparents, Steve and Nan Kuhn, Vance and Karen Schroeder, Colleen and Brian Peeters; great-grandparents, Billie Schroeder, Lavonne Werner, Terry and Sandra Coursey, and Adrianus Peeters; aunts and uncles, Philip and Cheryl Kuhn, Chantel and Jessica Schroeder-Cooper, Melissa and Adam Waits, Dalton Vedder, Scott and Christy Kuhn, Brian and Stephanie Peeters, Merissa Peeters, Hunter and Sky Smith; her cherished cousins, Dalton (her Youth Pastor) and Peyton Kuhn, Kaelin Kuhn, Kelsey Kuhn, Austin Waits, Macy and Blayne Dobbs, Steven Waits, Taylor Kuhn, Ryan Kuhn, Sutton Schroeder-Cooper, Maddux Schroeder-Cooper, and Savannah Peeters; her boyfriend, Carter Spence; her best friends, Megan Foster and Shelby Cosby; and countless extended family members, friends, and a community that now bears the weight of her absence. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Don Schroeder, Mary Peeters, Joe Werner, Odell and Christine Holder, and James Henry and Gustie Maie Kuhn.

I can´t believe you´re really gone. You were so full of life, laughter, and possibility-it´s unbearable to imagine the world without you in it. You were supposed to have years ahead of you, adventures to chase, dreams to unfold. But now we´re left holding memories that feel too small for someone who meant so much.
You made dark days brighter, and I´ll carry your light with me forever. The pain will sit heavy in my chest, not just from losing you-but from losing all the moments we´ll never get to have. One can only cope day by day :'(
