Alex Steven Hauser, lovingly known to his family as "Doogie," 33, of Liberty, Texas, passed away at his residence on Monday, June 30, 2025.

Doogie was born on November 13, 1991, in Alma, Michigan, to Sara Miles and the late John Hauser. From a young age, he had a natural gift for working with his hands, especially when it came to cars. Tinkering under the hood brought him joy, and he was known for his meticulous nature and sharp attention to detail. But more than anything, Doogie was known for his sense of humor-quick-witted, clever, and always able to make others laugh, even in the toughest moments.

Above all else, he loved being a father. His greatest pride and joy were his children: Luke, Vera, and Atli. He cherished every moment spent with them and was dedicated to creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.

Doogie is preceded in death by his father, John Hauser; his maternal grandparents; and his paternal grandparents.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his beloved children, Luke, Vera, and Atli Hauser; his devoted mother, Sara Miles Jerrils; his sister Eden Jacobs and partner Janelle; his brothers, Zach Thomas and wife Stormy, and Jacob Thomas; his aunt Kathy Miles; his uncle Rob Miles and wife Jenna; his stepmother Maggie Hauser; his military brothers and sisters who stood by him through thick and thin; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Doogie's presence was unforgettable. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the honor of knowing and loving him.
