Obituary of Alex L. Primas
Alex Leopold Primas, 93, of Audubon, PA passed away quietly in his condo at Shannondell on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
Born May 13, 1931 in Alden, NY, he was the son of Alexander and Elizabeth Primas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (Karr), his sisters Betty, Grace and Loey, his son in-law Chip and his nephews Morgan and David.
"Uncle Al" as he was known by many was a graduate of MIT after skipping two years of high school. He honorably served in the U.S. Army in Alabama in the late 1950's.
Alex worked 64 ½ years at T-Thermal/Trane/Linde in Conshohocken, and then as a consultant after that (he loved his job). In addition to working, Al enjoyed traveling and outings with his dear friends Bob and Virginia Monteith, building and flying model airplanes at VFSS and sitting poolside with a Manhattan or in later years Merlot.
He took flying lessons in his 70's but after passing his test was denied his license due to his AFIB. He was a longtime member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church of Audubon and enjoyed being part of the "Panera After Church" group.
He is survived by his daughter Pam, his son Alex, his daughter in law Maria, as well as three granddaughters Christina, Laura and Brittney, and ten great grandchildren Lexi, Jordann, Zeke, Chloe, Sean, Dredyn, Cammie, Shay, AJ and Alasia.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 10:30 AM from St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 2725 Egypt Road, Audubon, PA 19403. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church.
Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, West Norriton, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, PO Box 7336, Audubon, PA 19407.
Arrangements by Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA, (610) 277-1600
