Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Road ChapelWith heavy hearts, the family of Alexus Antoinette Mae Chavez—affectionately known as “Lexi” or “Lexi Bexi”—announces her sudden passing on August 7, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 30.
Born on July 25, 1995, in Albuquerque, Lexi was the cherished daughter of Victoria Ross and Joseph Rudy Chavez. She was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend whose presence brought light and love to everyone she met.
Lexi had a beautiful spirit and a heart full of compassion. Though quiet and a bit shy at first, her warmth quickly revealed itself. Once she opened up, her laughter, kindness, and loyalty left a lasting mark. She lived life with joy and embraced every moment with those she loved. Whether she was spending time with her family, singing and dancing, blasting music, going for drives, doing her nails, tanning by the pool, or just being with her sisters—Lexi was truly in her element.
She had an incredible way of lifting others up and always put the needs of others before her own. Lexi will be remembered for her selflessness, her radiant spirit, and the love she poured into the lives around her. Her legacy of compassion and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Lexi was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Shirley and Gerald Ross; her cousin, Quinn Butler; her paternal great-grandfather, Rudolf Vigil; her great-uncle, Johnny Chavez; her paternal great-grandmother, Delma Ingram; her great-uncle, Henry Amador; and her aunt, Josephine Nadine Vigil.
She is survived by her loving parents, Victoria Ross and Joseph Rudy Chavez; her stepfather, Anthony Quintana; her sisters, Alyssa Vivian and Jaiden Quintana; her paternal grandparents, Catherine Chavez and Joseph Ben Chavez; her aunts, Christine Ross, Tyane Parker, Evangeline Montiel, and Charissa Chavez; and her cousins, Shaylee Vega, Santiago Montiel, Victor “Junior” Vega, Thalia Montiel, Elias Vega, Evalina Montiel, and Anissa Ross.
A memorial service will be held on August 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, located at 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. Reception details will be announced at the service.
