Alfredo Sarno Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alfredo M Sarno, Jr, affectionately known as Fred, who left us on May 8, 2025, to join his late wife Evelyne at the age of 76. Fred was a cherished father, husband, brother, son, and friend to many. His smile and demeanor made you feel welcome and part of the family even if you met him for the first time.
Fred was born on May 18, 1948, to Alfredo Sarno and Bernarda Mantua, in Plaridel, Baybay, Leyte in the Philippines and grew up with a passion for reading as shown in his vast collections of books. He also had a fondness for fishing and would enjoy deep sea fishing when he could. Fred was a valedictorian in Elementary and Salutatorian in High School. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Manuel L Quezon university in the Philippines. His background in engineering also helped push his career to become a successful management professional as Vice President of Operations in a semi-conductor company.
Throughout his life, he demonstrated unwavering love and dedication to his family. Fred was predeceased by his loving spouse of 50 years, Evelyne and sister Leticia. He leaves behind his beloved children and their spouses: daughter Fredielyne Lenamon and her husband Timothy Lenamon, son Alfred Anthony Sarno III and Aurelia Sarno, and daughter Maria Huliganga and husband Reynier Huliganga. He is also survived by his siblings Josefina, Flordeliza, Luz,and Lucita and grandchildren Alfred Anthony Sarno V, Eleana Huliganga and Emilia Huliganga who will forever hold him close in their hearts. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched, the stories he told, and the lessons he imparted.
A service to celebrate Fred's life will be held on May 24, 2025 at 11 am, at the Texas Liberty Chapel at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor his legacy and share cherished memories. He will be interred next door at the Terrace Mausoleum shortly after. Fred will forever remain in our hearts, a shining example of love, courage, and kindness. May his soul rest in peace, and may we carry forward the lessons he taught us with gratitude and love.
