Edward A. Sarno, age 89 of Canton, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025. Born in Canton to the late Edward and Jacqueline (Iacco) Sarno, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Ellen L. (Morrison) Sarno; son Edward A. Sarno II; brother Bob Sarno; and sisters Virginia Barra, and Nancy Myers. Ed held various positions throughout his career. He excelled in these various fields and was highly respected by his co-workers, many of whom became lifelong friends.
He is survived by his daughter Victoria (Ted) Guscoff; daughter-in-law Patti Sarno; grandchildren Camelia (CWO3 Drew) Stanton, Edward Sarno III, Gage (Rachel) Guscoff, Colin Guscoff (fiancee Amanda Willis), Mia Guscoff; five great-grandchildren Carter and Maverick Stanton, Leo, Beau, and Luke Guscoff; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. A Private family interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all the extended family at Gabe's Deli, Country Lawn for all their loving care, and Adam from Hospice for all of his care and help.
